How to create a blog
There are many different platforms to create your blog. I am using Blogger. It is easy if you have a Google account because it is one of the apps in the Google menu.
Here is a link on how to create a blog on Blogger
- Create your blog.
- Send me an email with a link to your blog.
- Make your first blog post by following the instructions below.
- Comment on my post and 3 of your classmates.
- where you were born.
- your past studies e.g. elementary/high school/ etc.
- your family

- any other information and/or pictures
Write 2 things that are not true about you. Read your classmates blogs and try to find out what is not true. Make comments on 3 of your classmates posts and a comment on my post.
Ronda Lee Haverland was born in California, USA. She lived in many places around the country before the age of 12. She went to three different elementary schools and then went to high school in the suburbs of Washington D.C.
She went to Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia and studied Psychology and Dance. She started working odd jobs as a teenager and continued to work part-time jobs while she was at university. One of her favorite jobs was working at a street center for homeless people. Traveling to Europe during a winter break changed her life completely .
After university she worked with people with developmental disabilities on a farm and in New York City. However, she wanted to live abroad so she went to London to do a teacher training course to teach English. Then, in 1996 she moved to Malta to work as an English language teacher. After 10 years of adventures she moved to Chile and has been living there ever since.
She goes back to the USA almost every year to visit her family and friends. Her dad lives in Arizona and brother lives in Maine.
She loves being outside and before the pandemic she spent a lot of time cycling around Santiago. In February 2020 she spent a few weeks in Torres del Paine. Her dream is to spend a month in Patagonia.

Thank you Alvaro!
DeleteWhat do you mean by accredited in terms of management?
Hi miss, your story is incredible, you were able to travel all over the world and do everything. but i have a question,
ReplyDeleteWhy did you choose Chile and not another country?
I chose to come to Chile because of the nature. It is a beautiful country!
DeleteI would also like to be able to visit Patagonia, I think it's a really beautiful place :c
ReplyDeleteRonda, your autobiography is amazing! I would like to live the same experiences that you lived in Torres del Paine.
ReplyDeleteRegards!
Miss you autobiography is very interesting. Torres del paine is so beautiful, but i have a question, why did you prefer live in Chile?
ReplyDeleteI chose to move to Chile because of the nature.
DeleteHello Miss! Your autobiography is very motivating! I would also like to travel to Patagonia.
ReplyDeleteI have a question: What is your favourite Chilean food?
I love the fresh fruit and vegetables in the summer time, like raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, watermelon, etc.
DeleteI also like cazuela in the winter.
Psychology and dance? Miss, are you sure?
ReplyDeleteI think it's a lie that she studied this, because they are very different things hahaha and besides, she is our English teacher, too many things for so few years.
I majored in psychology and minored in dance during my undergraduate degree. In the USA the way that the courses are organized are very different from universities here in Chile.
DeleteI love that he has known many countries at such an early age, and I also like that he has the vocation to help the less fortunate, an example to follow !!
ReplyDeleteI would like to return to Patagonia too, I went when I was 13 years old and I have very good memories of that place :).
ReplyDeleteI also think that studying psychology and dance in such a short time is doubtful because those are very different hahaha, if you did it, you are very admirable! (and if not, too :D)
Hi miss!! Your biography is so amazing!!
ReplyDeleteDo you prefer live in chile or USA?
At this point in my life, I prefer living here in Chile. There is still so much of this country that I would like to explore.

ReplyDeleteI went to Torres del Paine in 2020. And yes, I did study dance and psychology in my undergraduate degree.
DeleteHi Ronda, I really like your blog, you have done a lot of activities and visited quite a few places. Like you, I love the outdoors and travelling, I hope to be able to travel as many places as you do one day. I have a question, what place would you like to visit when the pandemic is over?
